NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

AND INTENTION TO APPROVE AN ENERGY SERVICES CONTRACT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that he City of Commerce (“City”), per Government Code 4217.12, hereby announces, and provides notice of, a public hearing, to be held on July 14, 2026, regarding the potential for the City to enter into an Energy Service Contract (“Contract”) with Syserco Energy Solutions, Inc. for an energy efficiency and renewable energy project. The public hearing will be held in conjunction with the City’s regular City Council meeting currently scheduled for July 14, 2026 at 6 PM. 

The proposed project includes installation of solar photovoltaic systems and LED lighting upgrades.

KEY FINDINGS:
Prior to awarding the contract, the Council will review and consider findings demonstrating that the anticipated cost to the City for the energy conservation services will be less than the anticipated marginal cost that would have been consumed in the absence of these improvements.

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION:
At any time before that date and time set forth in this notice for the Public Hearing, written comment on the proposal may be filed with the City Clerk.  All persons wishing to comment at the public hearing will be given an opportunity to be heard.
