The Department of Parks and Recreation provides quality programs to the Commerce community in a fun and safe environment.   Program costs are free to minimal to our residents in order to strengthen our communities image and sense of place, promote health and wellness, increase cultural unity and support economic development.

 The Department operates 16 divisions comprised of:          

  • Four neighborhood parks                 Parks Make Life Better
  • Six community centers
  • An aquatic center
  • A camp in Lake Arrowhead
  • Four Commissions

    Spray pools are typically open from the end of June through Labor Day weekend. The dates and locations are subject to change, so for current information please call the Brenda Villa Aquatics Center at 323 887-4404 or the Parks and Recreation Administrative Office at (323) 887-4434.
